Established on April 5th, 1911 by General Edwin Alexander Forbes, the California Cadet Corps had very active units in many of the high schools and junior high schools in the Sacramento Metropolitan area between 1950 and 1985. Thousands of students enrolled in these programs were positively impacted by the many leadership opportunities and outdoor activities that they experienced. For many cadets, active participation in this program became the framework upon which the rest of their lives were built. Graduates from this program have served their country in military positions at the highest level as well as in senior positions in state, local, and national governments. They have become successful doctors, engineers, politicians, lawyers, scientists, soldiers and outstanding educators. This website has been built for and is dedicated to the students from the Sacramento area who were active members of the California Cadet Corps. It documents the activities that served as an integral part of their personal and professional development. Explore this website to discover how it happened. Click here to Learn More.
